Runes will work like modifiers for traits, spells and items that can be attached to other items. Some examples: Death Rune: Changes Conjure Fire to be a Death Spell; Conjure Death will cost 20 health instead of mana, can only be attached to staves, Staff Rune: Changes an item to be considered as a staff, can only be attached to very specific items, Growth Rune: Projectiles become slightly larger, can only be attached to hats (wizard hat, druid hat etc), Shrink Rune: Reduces the size of very specific items by 1, Fire Enlightenment Rune: Can only be attached to fire spellbooks; Transforms that spellbook into a wearable item that counts as an orb and empowers that specific spell.
